I had stuff to say too.
Have you ever met someone? And they say they’ll be there for you, all you have to do is call? So when you finally call they don’t answer and don’t call you back? Have you ever have it happen to you ten times in a row?
People come in and out of your life. Sometimes it’s death, relocation, or just them deciding not to be apart of your life. Or you no longer want to be apart of theirs. But when you’re in your room and have no one to talk to, it sinks in.
Your mind starts playing tricks on you like “You’ll never find anyone” “No one wants to help you” “You’ll stay alone forever.” But you can’t listen to that. Because the second you wanna give up, usually, somebody calls back and you finally get to get stuff off your chest.
That is, if they call back for you.
Sometimes, they call because they know you’ll listen. So you listen, give them advice, then they abruptly hang up and you think, I had stuff to say too.
So you distract yourself, take your mind off things. Cooking, cleaning, writing, sleeping. Anything so you don’t have to think about what’s been weighing your mind down for so long. But then, if you’re lucky, there is that friend that DOES care and calls to check on you. And it’s in that moment, you’re happy you held on because sometimes you get the help you need. And it could be from the most unexpected person, or someone you weren’t so surprised cared about you. I care about each and every one of you. I feel like I say this every time, but I mean it. I’m always here. Till next time.
